Description

Hey guys! This is my first ever build. Took me about 2-3 hours to build. Another 2 hours to fix a problem(forgot to put the cpu 4 pin power) and another hour to install the OS so that's about 6 hours from 11pm to 6am. I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures of the individual parts and build log. All I have is the finished product. -__-

This build is for light gaming(World of tanks, MOBA, MMO) and uhh, general work. Went with a "black and white" theme. Certainly faster than my 3-year old amd laptop that got burnt. Haven't OC'ed it yet since I'm noob but when I tried OC Genie, it just went to 4.2 so I turned it back. I don't know if Coretemp's accurate but I get 0c (?) on idle and about 22c on full load. Motherboard says otherwise, 35c on idle. Any suggestions on how to get accurate readings? 3Dmark is on its way too. Also, I've purchased a HDMI cable for $37. Forgot to add it and dunno why custom parts aren't showing prices.

The OS, I bought from my boss. Better than buying online or going to then store. (I live right across my job) and the Dvd drive for installation and who knows what. Haven't mailed the rebate yet so the PSU still stands at 44.99 and another thing is Newegg had a promotion going on last week so I got $25 off of my order. Ordered it on Sunday and surprisingly got everything on Tuesday, I chose free shipping btw, which should be just be arriving next week.

All thanks to skemble and other pcpartpicker users who helped in picking the parts.

Future upgrades? None as of now. Cable management was kind of tough because I was thinking of upgrades. GPU might still fit. Never planned to use the drive cages but I don't have any velcro or any double sided tape at the moment. But I have to say, I had a ton of FUN building this. I wanna do it again. Cheers!

Edit: Added Temperature picture from CoreTemp. RealTemp doesn't support CPU.

Yeah, couldn't give it up. Nice, clean and classy all at the same time. Could've done better at this price point but I just can't give up some of the parts.

Thanks for the mention! Looks very nice. I can see you really spent some time on those cables, that case is pretty cramped.. Good job!

No problem. Now I gotta save up for that intel build. It's kind of true what they say. After your first build, you want to build again and again. XD

Yeah, no kidding. If only there was some more room on top of those 92mm fans, I could've tucked the sata and power cable there. I was out of zip ties and more importantly lost some screws for the phanteks fan so I used those black ties that come with the cables. LOL

Your pictures sure make it look cramped in that case. Also in my opinion 37 dollars is too much for an HDMI cable. Its very hard to tell the difference between a 10 dollar cable and a 100 dollar cable. May be too late for this tho lol. Either way the cord is gonna work. Cool build, love how that cpu cooler looks.

Yeah. Lol Too much cable for such a small case. T'was the only hdmi cable I could find in Walmart last night. Plugged it to my tv works well except for sound and overscan. Still can't figure how to fix them. Thanks! I like it too except for the fact that I pictured it in my mind going the other way, front to back. Lol

It's fixed now. Downloaded an AMD Catalyst Control and that did the trick. Now I won't be needing to buy speakers. LOL

Quick question, do you have a scorpio black or caviar black? hoping the caviar black as they are 6 gb/s, but if not its just your secondary drive anyway.

It's the scorpio black. Yup, it's just for the programs and games.

If you get a newer AMD card, you can CrossFire it with your APU, and they sell short cards specifically for cases like this. You may have to turn your CPU cooler 90 degrees though.
