Hey guys I'm back with a bit of an update from the original build I posted.
You can find it here --> https://pcpartpicker.com/b/WtYrxr
If you are interested in any aspects of my build you can either refer to my original post above or ask me anything about it here. I'll talk about my impressions of the 980 Ti's below.
Also I moved since I last posted hence the change in the lay out.
So you might wonder why I would make a whole new build, rather than just updating the build above, when the only difference between the two are the GPUs. So to make a very long and rather frustrating story short, my R9 290x bit the dust after about a month of use. Luckily (after a bit of a struggle) I was able to get my money back. However the whole experience left me with a rather bad taste in my mouth for AMD cards, and with the announcement and release of the beast that is the GTX 980 Ti, I decided to go with NVIDIA. Couldn't be happier. It fits my build perfectly as far as having SLI in the H440, I love the way they look and the way my entire build has evolved to complement the color scheme of the cards. Needless to say the cards destroy anything I throw at them even with the near 4k res of my screen. I can run the Witcher 3 at native, ultra everything, always have a constant 60 fps and the cards don't get above 70 degrees C. But that is no surprise as thats what you could expect to come from NVIDIAs flagship GPU. Also as far as the updates to my color scheme I decided to just paint the fan rings silver, change the CPU cooler LED the match the GEFORCE GTX ones, and then just painted the back plates I got from EVGA white. I've very satisfied with the way it turned out. So fresh. So clean.
Thanks for the read and hope you enjoyed the build/builds!
