Description

Greetings,

So this is my second build ever but by far the most satisfying build I've completed. Originally, I had the wraith prism cooler with max OC at 4.1ghz at 1.35vcore with load temps up to 88c. I decided to change out for the H115i 280mm aio (it does fit in the H500 case) This presented some challenges regarding fan placement in the h500 case. The cooler fit just fine on the mounting bracket with the fans behind and pushing air through, however I had read that this isn't best for optimal cooling and I wanted to be able to see the fans in the case. I had to reposition the front panel cables (which were obstructing the rad) I modified the bracket by flattening the lips on the top and bottom and was able to get the mount that I desired. Temps have reduced pretty decently. Right now I'm running 4.2ghz with 1.4vcore stable with p95 for 1 hour with a max temp of 82c. I'm still experimenting with the overclock. RAM has overclocked well @3600mhz 1.4v and stable. Getting cinebench scores above 1900.

I had two extra Corsair LL140's that I decided to use on the radiator as opposed to the 140mm ML PRO Series that were included. Any thoughts as to my decision on that? Might the ML Pro fans yield better performance? Thanks for checking out my build.

It would look nice with some custom cables.

Agreed. Some baby blue cables would send this to the sky where it belongs. Great build!

I like that it is fairly clean and simple. As noted, custom cables would be a nice touch.

Might be a dumb question but are all your fans exhaust ? Or are the once on AIO pulling air in? I been thinking of getting same case and a kraken aio. And wondered how to position the fans

Yeah I have the 140s in front as intake and 120s back and top for exhaust.

Nice build ! Could you also share your gpu temp ? I have the exact same graphics card and it feels like it runs a bit too hot. That being said I did read some opinions that it happens but I'm still a bit worried.

I haven't been monitoring it closely but thinking 78c was highest I'd seen. How about yours?

Mine hit 82 while playing Rainbow Six the other day. Doesn't happen too often though and I've been playing for 6 hours. I was worried it was a bit too high but according to the internet it's nothing to worry about.

Nice build. I will be attempting to mount the same cooler on my h500i next week. To answer your question, I believe you should have stuck with the ML series fans as the LL fans are case fans and won't pull air as well as the ML can (at least that is what ive read). Nonetheless, great build.

You should've gone for a normal black Sapphire Radeon EX 580, but that's just my preferences.

I agree! It would match nicely. Think if I could go back I would do that.
