Build

Bedroom Build

by drworsley

Description

I needed a smaller build for my bedroom... well needed isn't the correct word. I wanted to build a smaller PC for my bedroom, capable of 4K HDR gaming. So I built this. This is one of the quickest builds that I've ever done. Got it done in a few hours. Only thing that I'm waiting on is the NVidia HB sli bridge and also my 64GB kit of TridentZ RGB. Overkill, I know. But if you've seen my other builds then you know it's business as usual.

Hey did you ever get the temps for your build really would like to know thanks.

RichRoc 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Love to know temps as well. I’ve got two 1080ti Founders Ed, new in box waiting for a home and I really like this size case.

Nice build. What are the temps like? It seems kind of crammed

drworsley submitter 7 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Haven't ran any benches yet, but it has great airflow. Doesn't seem crammed to me. (although I would prefer a little space between the 2 1080tis

I also have a build in the H400i, and it's an amazing chassis for an M-ATX build. I always wondered what SLI would be like in this chassis, and now I know. Amazing build! +1

I was torn between SLI and the H200i. If I was only doing 1 GPU then I would have definitely went for the H200i... nice and tiny.

Yeah.

My question is, somehow 4K flash games? Try it. But also, how many computers do you need in your house?

DANIEL777 2 points 8 months ago

That ROG SSD cover looks cool, where did you get that?

drworsley submitter 7 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Its a sticker that came with the motherboard.

Broxx 6 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

That is one beastly build! You have great taste. KAWS Companion and Klipsch audio lol

How many fans do you have on the Kraken rad? I see the two mounted on the inside, are there two more mounted behind the face plate?

SLI

Blower/reference cards vent hot air out the back. Otherwise if he used cards with an open heatsink cooler, the top card will run hot as its sucking in the hot exhaust from the bottom card.

Seeing his previous builds he'll likely try watercooling this in the future. Makes sense getting FE cards as they're cheaper and theres a wider range of waterblocks available for them.

EDIT: If you really want to read how GPU cooling fits certain PC builds, check the link below https://www.pcgamer.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-gpu-coolers/

drworsley submitter 7 Builds 5 points 10 months ago

you are correct. m-atx really is limited with sli. so there is no gap between cards. I don't plan on doing a custom loop in this build. My Ravens build is hard enough to maintain lol.

thebream 3 points 9 months ago

I was hoping you'd do a loop since it sounded like a cool project.

I'm thinking of doing a custom loop in the future, is the maintenance really that troublesome?

I love the look of em. plus they tend to be smaller than the partner cards. They are also blower style, and with them being so close together, its better for temps.
