Description

So I bought this rig for 700 for EVERYTHING. Guy needed the money and so I decided to buy it for 700 :) I think this is the best deal I ever got!

I would cry tears of blood if I had to sell this rig off for $700.

I've seen stuff like this happen when someones significant other is selling it out of revenge, doesn't know prices and just kind of getting rid of it.

I can see that right now lol "Where's my computer? I sold it. You did what???"

Well, one thing for sure: the old owner's girlfriend is not getting sex tonight

LMAO HAHA

Maybe the original owner was a straight girl. Don't be sexist. :P Besides, a girl can get sex wherever there is a willing guy. That won't be difficult to find.

Then: the old owner's boyfriend is not getting sex tonight.

This is so stolen. Good find!

I hate to admit it, but you're probably right.

You say "so I decided to buy it" like it was a choice. I know I would have bought that for $700 if I was a homeless man.

I mean, I couldn't pass of the deal ;)

I think you got an awesome deal. Not big on the stickers, though.

  • 4 points

Yeah man, going to fix it up a bit and re sell it for a higher price!

  • 8 points

PS I actually really like seeing the case badges on a build. In fact I think they add character and pride to the builder. I'm proud of my parts and builds and don't care if someone thinks the stickers don't belong. Though I prefer to put them in a little more discrete location but still visible.

  • 1 point

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm just going to keep the i7 one and the asus one and maybe one of the EVGA's but those big stickers are going away!

  • 0 points

lol I didn't even notice those tacky EVGA stickers on the side LMAO...!!!

  • 1 point

I know, lol

  • 1 point

You actually might make more selling off each part individually, especially if you ended up getting all the boxes with the build.

  • 3 points

I'm going to play devils advocate. How do we know you didn't just build this yourself and say you got if off craigslist for $700 to get more +1s?

  • 3 points

I have a personal build, lol. I have a 3570k rig with a Twin Frozr 3 GTX 660. I buy rigs for cheap and sell them for a higher price. It's a good business to do if you research enough on craigslist and find them for a amazing deal like this one lol.

  • 2 points

great find. Though the GPUs you listed aren't the same as what is installed. Also what is the card installed above the top graphics card? Also the Water cooling loop is the old h100 not the new h110. ;) None the less all this for $700... WHOA!!!

  • 1 point

o: yeah, I just got home. What are they then? @_@ and it's a sound card and oops, i'll fix that mistake!

I think it's this one. It has the same side view as the one you showed.

Well if he didn't give you the boxes along with the cards, the alternative way to check is the serial number on the back of the cards. When you go to register them at EVGA's website it would show what the cards are. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm assuming the cards have a single fan on them, a blower fan.

The only thing that could improve this build is either a 120Hz / 144Hz monitor to maximize the FPS pushed by that SLI and or a 3 monitor surround setup to give a fully immersed gaming experience!

I'll double check, thanks for the advice!

I know! Craigslist is usually a good deal to find stuff ;)

  • 3 points

I check Craigslist sometimes and I just saw some guy selling an athlon II X4 640 PC with 5700 series GPU -___- FOR $800, you are lucky

  • 1 point

Haha, if I was going to spend another 300 more, I could of got a 980x with 580 in SLi ;)

  • 1 point

Old Cpu breh, and those 670's would be better than the SLI 580's

  • 2 points

He is probably referring to another build on Craiglist that was more expensive, but less powerful.

  • 1 point

omfg. If only the seller hadn't just bought $700 worth of heroin/cocaine/drugs. All I have to say is that you got really lucky

Enjoy dat beast! :)

  • 1 point

Haha, thanks! Going to clean it up and re sell it!

  • 1 point

Holy. Crap. I want that for $700! I would sell the pc I'm writing on just to buy that!

  • 1 point

First question: Did you buy it pre-built? Or did you buy all the components from this guy, then build? Second question: How did you buy this that cheap? Minus the optical drive, every component is mid to top-tier quality. That just doesn't make sense to me. Third question: Are there any problems with it? That's the only way I can see this going that cheap.

  • 1 point

Pre built, guy needed money for rent for his apartment. No problems with it, he fired it up before I bought it.

:0 How?!

I always say this when I see amazing Craigslist deals, but sadly I live in Arkansas, so deals are a lot worse.

  • 1 point

wow awesome deal!

  • 1 point

If it not stolen, the guy is an idiot. Could sold it easily for twice the price.

  • 1 point

Exactly, I bought this just to sell it! Not to be my 2nd or main rig!

  • 1 point

what headset set is that in the second picture? great build btw!!!!

  • 1 point

That's just...... wow! I honestly would have expected this to be a scam if I saw it on Craigslist for such a cheap price, you are incredibly lucky. Had to have been sold either out of ignorance or revenge, even if someone needed money that badly they could have easily gotten 2x for that if not 3x.

  • 1 point

Exactly! That's why I usually search on craigslist, I buy PC's for super cheap prices and sell them for a higher price ;)

  • 1 point

BLODDY HELL! $700!

  • 1 point

I don't think I would of bought it...For the simple fact I would have seen it and blown it off as too good to be true. Even if I would have went to check it out and seen it up and running good...it sooooo tough to find awesome deals like this that are really..good deals..

Nonetheless, awesome snag!!!

Same here. If it is "hot" (which I believe it is) then you don't want to be re-listing it on craigslist. Easy way to get caught up in a charge for possession of stolen goods and be out $700 with no computer.

Choose wisely when a deal is too good to be true.
