Description

Gaming build using mostly parts from my previous setup. I got the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 for 30$ so I decided to compare it to the Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT. I ended up going back to the air cooler as it provided similar temps at a lower noise level. With this case+motherboard the cooler has just enough space to fit. I ran it for a while with 3 noctua fans and the 2 fans included with the meshify C(shown in the last image) but I ended up getting rid of the included fans and using all noctuas. With the noctua redux fans on a silent fan curve cpu temps stay under 80 degrees under load while OCed to 4.8ghz and the gpu under 72. All of the parts on this build have been picked up over time so the prices are not accurate. Overall I really like this build it provides great gaming performance at 1440p while staying silent and looking good.

Part Reviews

CPU

Games at 1440p very well, have overclocked to 5ghz but i currently run it at 4.8 to keep temps a little lower. My 2080 is the bottleneck in most games at 1440p 165hz

CPU Cooler

HUGE but runs cool and quiet. The mounting hardware could be a bit better.

CPU Cooler

Does its job but the fans are noisy and mine came with air in the loop and has some pump noise.

Thermal Compound

Does its job well. No complaints here

Motherboard

Pretty good motherboard, probably not the best for overclocking but has OCed my 8600k to 5Ghz, 3 fan headers but only 1 can control non pwm fans. BIOS is decent but could be better

Memory

Works great XMP enabled and zero issues, not much else to say.

Storage

Not the fastest SSD on the block but very affordable and works great.

Video Card

With default config it boosts to 1935MHZ and stays under 72C during load. Can be somewhat loud if the case doesn't have good ventilation or ambient temps are high.

Case

Great case, compact, good airflow, dust filters, good cable management and a good noise profile all for a reasonable price.

Power Supply

Good PSU. the "Eco" mode is designed to shut off the fan when not under load but it ends up turning on and off making more noise than simply leaving it on the default mode.

Case Fan

Moves a lot of air and makes very little noise. I do wish that it came with the anti-vibration mounts and a slightly longer cable. Overall very good fan for the price.

Case Fan

Moves a lot of air and makes very little noise. I do wish that it came with the anti-vibration mounts and a slightly longer cable. Overall very good fan for the price.

Monitor

Good monitor for gaming, really wish it had a proper vesa mount and speaker output. Currently my secondary monitor

Monitor

Great display for the price, can be overclocked to 165Hz and is G sync compatable. Settings menus could be better, built in speakers are nothing to brag about and the speaker/headphone output does not work on mine.

Keyboard

Good fullsize keyboard, not a fan of the iCue software.

Mouse

Really nice wireless mouse, long battery life.

Headphones

Good open back headphones, wish that the cable was 3.5mm on both ends. To use it on a computer you need a Amp/DAC/adapter or a custom cable.

Speakers

Pretty good speakers, lots of bass when you turn it up. Mine are several years old and still going strong.

Hey man that is really nice! What temps do you get overclocking the 9600k at 4.8ghz?
