Description

My last custom build. This time its a white build. Will upload some better pictures soon.

Just upgraded to i7 7700k. Successfully Overclocked it to 5.0ghz and memory to 2900, but the CPU max temps where 99c witch is too much for my taste. (Yes with the water-cooling and newly applied Arctic MX4 thermal paste). The cpu voltage was set to auto and it jumped to 1.4v, i will be playing more and more to see if i could be able to clock it at 5.1ghz with 80c- max temps. So if you want to Overclock your Kaby Lake i7-7700k you should think of some extreme cooling solution! I will leave it at 4.7Ghz cause i want this CPU to be working at normal temps (30c -70c) for now.

Update: Changing the NZXT s340 for a h440.... was thinking to get the s340 elite but its basically the same case with a tempered glass... I need more 3.5" bays, more fans and more radiator mount options. My 3.5" hdd's on the s340 are a little hotter than usual when working. This is because there is not enough space between them. Now i need to add 1 more drive and there is no room in the little s340. The h440 is a professional case comparing it to the s340. Still NZXT s340 is an amazing case for its class! Now i am wondering if my radiator should be top or front mounted......

Feel free to comment. Any advice is welcome!

Sweet build man. I love the colors.

Question: Why use watercooling on a non-overclocking CPU? Interesting choice.

Very good looking build and the cables look really clean. +1

Great build man, few questions. Why AIO good liquid cooler on a 6700 and why z170 if no 6700k? Also what did you pay for your white PSU cable kit? Everywhere I look seems a tad too expensive. Also, no white RAM and $200 for 16GB of 2133? I have similar build. i7 with RX480 8GB is smooth like butter. 9/10 for cleanliness. Sick motif as well!

Thanks! It was a good deal for my 6700(nonk), but i will be upgrading it soon to a 6700k. The memory kit is 2x8 DDR4 HyperX Fury 2666mhz . Will be upgrading it to 4x8 (32gb in total) with the new CPU. Cable sleeving kit (in whatever color you like) in our country costs 30euros.

That's around what I've found them for, approximately $50 USD. I got my 6700k for $250 USD thank god.

neat build im also a fanboy of the white setup. Is there enough space for a push ull on the lower radiator section? I ruled it out when looking. Wondering if you're using a smaller 140mm fan. Here's my build https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/Vq6XsY

Thanks, yes there is enough space in the lower section for a push and pull. I am using a 1x120mm fan on the back and 2x120mm fans on the front of the radiator.

The colours look great, best of luck with overclocking when you upgrade that CPU!

I love seeing that motherboard in builds, really spices it up. Same with the Deepcool AIO. :)

I probably would went with an asus dual gpu instead of that one but it still looks great.

The Asus Strix RX480 would not fit in my case because of the radiator and the push&pull setup...

I think he was referring to the Asus Dual which is an all white GPU for the theme. I love the look of the XFX card in there personally

I could not find an Asus RX480 Dual White 8gb. Just a 4gb version.

Yeah weird that it doesn't show up on PCPP. It is available on Newegg and NCIX. Regardless, love the XFX

It's just a regular gpu but it's white, and I think they look really nice

I think the sapphire nitro 480 would look better but that's just me

did you update your bios before upgrading cpu's? i just built this for a buddy tonight and i think i'm having motherboard/cpu incompatibility issues

Hello, Yes, before adding the new cpu i updated the bios to 3007. What are exactly your motherboard/cpu incompatibility issues ? Is the pc powering up? High temps maybe? BSOD ?

thank you for your reply. i got the sabertooth mobo and the i7-7700k but didn't realize it wasn't compatible with 7th gen intel processors w/o a bios update. i just purchased ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING LGA 1151 ATX and am going to install it tonight to see if it works.

to answer your question when i got everything hooked up and powered on, nothing would show up on the monitor and the cpu/dram led would blink when first turned on but wouldn't stay lit.

What are your thoughts on the power supply? I'm interested in this and unsure if it's reliable.
