Description

Went pretty much all out on this build after doing a fairly budget build a few years back for gaming. A few upgrades planned for the future which include a second 970 and another 8gb of RAM. Maybe some case lighting to make it pop but I have never been attracted to that kind of stuff. If you have recommendations on some good case lights let me know in the comments.

Edit: It says 750w PSU but in reality it is a 650w as the 750 was out of stock and I didn't really need it for a 970 and a sli configuration down the road. I also added a few more pictures of the interior.

OMG How did you keep it so clean. Great job on your wires not in the PC, but throughout the room!!! +1

Now that you mention it yes I could do a better job with Cable management inside the PC. Just that does PSU cables are so stiff and hard to route properly. Any recommendations apart from buying their wire kits?

I couldn't see the wires inside, was just commenting on how clean the space under the table and the table top were.

As for dealing with stiff cables you can't really do much IMO, but.... One thing that you can try is to turn your PSU upside down because that may put your cables in a better position to bend more appropriately with the style of your case and may significantly make it better, or worse if your current PSU position is already at the optimal one.

If your worried about the fan being in the wrong direction, there is much debate saying that PSUs are able to take much much much more heat than the other components of a PC. So your PSU orientation shouldn't affect your PSU life span or change the tempt of your PC by much.

But honestly just do the best job you can and that is enough. If you put any effort then your interior cable management should be fine; The above was just to put the other possibility out there.

So.. Conclusion... lol... it is fine just the way it is.

I did some additional work in the inside. The main issue wit this case is the lack of cable tie down on the mobo tray. I hid most of the wires behind the Hard Drive.

Looks very tight MORE interior pics!!' Try the nzxt hue or if like you said your not really into the flashy your computer is a radioactive transformer look try just a simple nzxt white led lighting strip they are like $20 tops and the white light highlights your build and parts without looking like some 8 year old snorted his adderal and went at your pc with neon spray paint and crayons !!!

Nice system. I'm starting to strongly consider getting a Strix 970 to replace my 66o ti's in SLI. I've been having issues with the case being loud. Hopefully tossing those older cards will drop the volume a good bit.

The strix is quiet so it would be a good upgrade in performance and in noise levels.

My biggest issue right now is noise so yeah the Strix sounds like a great deal. It seems like they're always sold out on NewEgg. I guess I'll wait until after the holiday season.

How do you like those monitors?

They are great. Awesome viewing angles. Only complaint is no 1440p but that was way too expensive.

Mmmmmmmmm never get over a 970/980

2 970's will cost a little bit more than a 980 and destroy it in terms of performance.

I know that but in the long run think about it, you can buy 2 970's and there you have SLI but get 1 980 and you can still get another 980. (I know this isnt worth it imo)

Its just the fact that 970 and 980 gpu's are so sexy .

Nice build!

Have a look at the 12" Darkside LED strips at FrozenCPU. I put a pair of white ones in the Node 804 I just finished. I plugged them into one of the Mobo fan connectors and used Bios to hold them at about 60%.

You do have a frightfully clean room!

Is this case good for cable management?

Its great! My only gripe is that there are no cable grommets for routing the cables its just a cutout in the mobo back plate.
