Build

HSCYA Later

by ijemsie

Description

Just finished my HSC exams (from Australia), so built this to celebrate :) -

Waiting on my cablemod cables to arrive so I can replace the PSU stock cables (accidently ordered incompatible ones )

AFAIK, this is the only STRIX 2080 TI OC on PCPartPicker right now so feel free to ask me any questions regarding this

Will post full build in a few days, just waiting till my other room gets connected before I add my second monitor.

Saw the $3300 price tag and thought, "What the hell did I do wrong?" (my build was the same price) Then I saw no price on the card. Lol.

This is an awesome build bud.

I really want that GPU but I can never find them in stock. Is it as quiet and cool that it's been hyped up to be? How much did you pay for it?

ijemsie submitter 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

Yup, very quiet and always low temperatures. I got it cheaper for 2 grand AUD as I knew someone in the store

I was planing to build a pc and i coulent choose over a gigabyte 1080 ti 11 gb oc or a 2080 just woundering which one you would would pick and then ill go from there

Personally I would just go with the 2080, future-proofing myself for future games that come with RTX i guess

Do you have fan headers on the back of the card? If not, this is the first run of the cards.

Stumbled across this and realised that I'm about to buy literally all of these components for my build except I have the 9700k instead of the 8700k! How is the performance and temps?

That_Computer_Guy 1 point 4 months ago

WOW. I'm planning on using the same card, and it's P.H.A.T! +1 for thicc GPU
