Description

This build was meant to run Photoshop and store lots of RAW photo files, and the reasoning for that is my mom runs a photography business and needs to store the original photos. This computer is usually moved once a week for her 2nd job that also requires Photoshop.

Cable management in this case was ok. Instead of using only one SATA power cable for both hard drives, but the only two hard drive mounts were too far spread out for the cable to reach. Its not a big deal though.

Other than that issue, the building process was pretty straightforward. It only took about an hour and a half, and i didn't have any further issues.

The GPU was just an extra one I had sitting on my shelf. I thought it would help with the photo rendering or help Photoshop run all together.

Is the H55 for looks and/or noise?

Could be that it makes it lighter? Good question anyway

Noise definitely noise. Who doesn't like that awesome whirling air sound. Makes mw think of a jet spinning up when my daughter's pc boots.

It may be because it has to be portable. The weight of some air coolers could mess up the board in transit.

Both I would guess. My brother was the one that picked it out. But one thing I will say is that this computer is DEAD SILENT.

It's a nice build. That old 660 should still play a lot of games at high settings too.
