Description

I am planning to add a 2nd GTX 760 for extra performance. This was a server at first and then I added the GPU and then used it as a gaming PC. I also have the Corsair White Braided cables and NZXT White LED kit (2m)

I have also redone the Cabling since that picture.

There are some pictures of me cleaning the H100i and installing the new GPU when after it was done hosting servers.

BTW: If you are looking for a great HDD. The WD10EZEX is a great HDD, good price, good speed, and reliable.

Before this it had a Thermaltake TR2 430W, no LEDs, and a GT 610. I am using Antec Formula 7 thermal compound, which is expensive, but amazing and is one of the top performers.

The 3570K (IvyBridge 3rd Gen) is a godly CPU and still preforms just as well as the 4690K (Devils Canyon 4th Gen) and 4670K (Haswell 4th Gen)

Somehow I was expecting an AMD system with the FX 9000 series and an R9 290x.

That would be an actual heater, he's just talking about a space heater.

Well, everything in my room is IKEA except the Computer, and I could not imagine any other way that IKEA would heat a room. Also, the color matches my IKEA PS lockers.

So now you have 12GB of Ram memory? Does it really works?

Random access memory memory... Just let it sink in. :P

Yea, I needed 12GB for server tasks, also, 12GB will be useful when Star Citizen comes out.

Ok, but I have never seen 12GB (1x4gb+1x8gb) working!

Pretty easy. They run in full Dual-Channel 1600mhz.

They are the same latency and speed so it should be fine.

why did you rate the h100i 2/5? otherwise nice build. oh, and is the 4670k ivy bridge e? thought it was haswell

  • 1 point

Well both of them are Haswell, but there is two generations of Haswell. IvyBridge-E and Devils Canyon. They are both 4th gen Haswell processors though.

The H100i Blue LED went out after a short period of time and the Corsair Link software is terrible. Just like Razer Synapse 2.0.

there are three generations: ivy bridge e, haswell, and devils canyon(haswell refresh)

But Intel went a little weird and had IvyBride-E and Haswell at the same time under the same sections. (4570K is already dead, though it was one of the first 4th gen IvyBridge-E CPUs) Though 5th gen Broadwell should be good and be an improvement for both Desktop and Laptop this time. I will say that I was wrong, Haswell was it's own thing, but Intel did not really stress that, like with SandyBridge-E.

Would you happen to know what desk that is?

  • 1 point

No idea. I tried to find out. Got it a while back. Never been able to find another desk that fits both monitors and the computer. IKEA has their build a desk thing, but only the biggest desktop would work, and it does not come in the color I wanted and no drawers.
