Cool, Quiet and Portable...
That was the main goal of this build, as well as getting my feet wet all over again in terms of building a modest gaming rig.
Last build was way back in 2009 (Intel Duo Core paired with a GTX 460 and 4gb of G.Skill DDR2 800) inside a CM Storm Scout.
Frequent quite a few LAN parties every year, and having a built-in handle to lug the computer around is beyond helpful, it's RAD.
The GTX 760 does a fine job with the current titles I'm catching up on, such as Tomb Raider, BF3 and Trine 2 etc.
Speaking of Trine 2 - holy crap that game was pure eye candy.
But when winter rolls around I plan to pass on the 760 to my Nephew for his film school projects and upgrade to a 780 Classified as I'm curious about this newfangled process called overclocking. I like free performance! And before attempting to overclock, I plan on upgrading the power supply, the heatsink and fans. Any Recommendations?
