My step-dad's birthday was yesterday, so I gave him a new PC case as a gift. In doing so, I now got to take his computer apart and dust/rebuild it. Woohoo! :D Seriously, I love this stuff. :p Anyways, here's his computer. All the prices that are $0 means they were gifts over the past couple of years (I don't remember the exact prices), and anything that says $1 means he bought it (Again, I don't know the prices). I actually won the case in a contest put on by Bill Owen, owner of Mnpctech.com.
Also, before everyone asks, no, these parts were not all bought at once, and this is an all-purpose PC. He uses this for gaming, video encoding, watching movies, and streaming the World Cup. In the HW Monitor screenshot, it says he has a GTX 470. That's because he flashed a new bios in order to unlock some shaders and whatnot. He also bought and installed the aftermarket video card cooler, which does a pretty darn good job, I might add (54°C after about 35 minutes of Theif).
All in all, he loves it, so that's all that matters.
Any questions/concerns/suggestions on what could've been done differently, leave a comment. :)
P.S. Sorry for the potato pics. My phone camera isn't that great.
