Description

A couple of months back, I got bit by the infamous pc bug. I started off with a reasonable 8700k, 16gb of ram, an ssd and an hdd, and a 1080. Somehow from there, I ended up with the most overkill system I could ever need, and I love it. I use this machine for gaming, streaming, video + photo editing, and some programming. It went pretty smoothly, and with zero prior knowledge, the system itself took me about twelve hours to build and cable manage. For all first time builders out there, please get a magnetic screwdriver. It probably saved me about four hours, no exaggeration. Also, while the corsair ll series looks fantastic, it took me an hour or two to cable manage. Even with that time, my cable management was sub-par, but right now I'm just enjoying my system. I think my LL140 is faulty, though, and I might need to get that replaced. Sorry for the bad picture quality and the stupid name.

Part Reviews

CPU

So far, this beast is destroying, and with my kraken x72, it's got decent temps.

CPU Cooler

As of now, the cooler seems to be keeping my 9900k at great temps, but I'm removing one star because of CAM. I've had this pc operational for three days, and it's already shut down my computer for some unknown reason. Looks great though, and was relatively easy to setup.

Motherboard

Great looking motherboard, wifi works pretty well, has an f_panel connector, and it is a very well constructed board. What more could you want? Bios even has an easy mode!

Memory

Amazing looking ram, got to 3200 easily after enabling XMP. Especially with the ram price drop, these things are amazing!

Storage

So tiny, yet so unbelievably fast.

Storage

Great secondry drive, really fast

Video Card

Beast of a card. Stress tested on unigine at maxed settings 1440p for an hour, never dipped below 200fps, and never above 70c. Costs an arm and a leg though, and at this point, its probably worth waiting for the next flagship.

Case

Beautiful case, and even as a first time builder, cable management was pretty easy.

Power Supply

Cables are a bit hard to work with, but besides for that, it’s perfect.

Operating System

It's windows. Works well enough for what it is.

Case Fan

I think mine is faulty, so when I RMA it if I get back something that works I'll update the review. As of now, though, the leds are dim and it's barely responsive to rpm changes.

Case Fan

Beautiful RGB and beautiful build! Cables are a bit annoying to manage, but it's definitely possible. However, the lighting node pro was useless for me, as I had a commander pro, and at this price range I think that including a commander pro would be more suitable.

Monitor

You have not lived until you've played 1440p 165hz. It's a perfect monitor. Mine has no noticeable back light bleed, no dead pixels, nothing. For this time period, where 4k 144hz is largely unachievable, I cannot imagine a more ideal monitor.

Monitor

Beautiful picture and great colors, but the stand annoys me to no end. Make sure you plan your setup carefully, or get a vesa mount, because the stock stand is incredibly obtrusive.

Keyboard

Love the mx speeds, they're great for typing and gaming. Build quality is pretty good, and the macros are nice to have. The rgb has some dead zones, though, and I don't think my product is faulty. Either way, this should last me a while!

Mouse

Spectacular productivity mouse, and because I have powerplay, it has no real downside. It's extremely well designed, and is an absolute pleasure to work with.

Mouse

Probably the best gaming mouse in existence. It's hooked up to powerplay in my setup, and is a dream to play with.

Headphones

Really comfortable and great sound quality. Some of the best wireless headphones on the market, in my opinion.

Food

Instead of doritos, there was a dog in the bag. Now I'm broke from buying this pc and have two mouths to feed. Would not recommend.

Custom

It's a great option for an extended mouse pad.

Custom

Needed a flash drive, so picked this one up. Does its job, and it's now a bootable windows flash drive if I run into any issues.

Custom

Necessary in my setup. Does a good job, but wish its power cable were sata instead of molex, and that the cable would be a bit longer.

Custom

Great controller, and runs perfectly with ds4windows.

Custom

Completely unnecessary, but made my setup look cleaner.

Custom

$60 is a steep price just to run some rgb fans, but it works.

Thats actually my second mouse, charging using logitech powerplay. You cant see it, but the other mouse is under the headphones in the first pic. I switch off which one I use and which one I charge.

My guy, you spent $400 on mice alone, although they are great mice, and wrote “bitten” instead of bit in his description xD. Props on the buld though. +1

Thanks for catching that! It's fixed now, sometimes my brain doesn't work so well. The mice are 100% overkill, but now that I have it set up, it's incredibly convenient. I game on the pro wireless, which is an awesome experience, then trade it for the g903 and have the pro wireless charge with powerplay. Thanks for the feedback!

I know that this was an overkill build, but that was kind of the point. I wanted to go all out, so I did. Thanks for the comment!

Make sure your build is well balanced and there aren't any bottlenecks, and dedicate the time to really prepare for your build. Also, use a magnetic screwdriver.

Two inconsistencies in your lie; 1, on your part list you had four sticks of ram, while the picture showed two. 2, my build was uploaded before yours. It was virtually impossible for me to copy you.

It’s one thing to blatantly lie, but quite another to continue the lie after you were called out on your idiocy.
