This build is for my Dad for his upcoming birthday. His computer is dying, and I had some of these parts already on hand (processor, RAM, SSD & HDD) so why not use them for a cool looking build that sort of resembles mine? Plus since he loved how mine looks, I figure the white version of the AIO would be awesome to use. Yes, I know that it's kind of an overkill system for my Dad, but he'll appreciate it immensely and that makes it worth it to me.
PCPP doesn't have the motherboard that I actually bought so I chose to list the B150 Gaming from MSI because it's rather similar. I actually bought the MSI H170I PRO AC motherboard.
I will say that I did encounter an issue with the build: PCPP states that the DeepCool Captain 240 AIO might not fit properly in the NZXT Manta, and they are correct. The problem lies in the placement of the metal reservoir cap on the radiator in relation to the cutout for rads on the Manta. I was able to install it, however there is only one way that it'll fit- With the fans on top of the rad, on top of the rad cutout. It's kind of a bummer, since I think that the white fans of the Captain 240 would add a nice touch to the overall look of the build, but oh well, c'est la vie. I suppose that I could have mounted the cooler in the front, but I decided on top mounting instead.
I haven't stressed the system out much mainly due to getting it ready as a gift, but it idles at 23ºC.
Outside of the issue with the DeepCool AIO, the build process was smooth and overall I'm really happy with the results.
One final comment: I included a couple of pictures of my system (Madame Rouge) as a bit of a comparison look between the Noctis 450 and the Manta.
A great processor for those not looking to overclock. The build that this was used for went to my Dad for his B-Day and since then he's been amazed at the responsiveness of the system.
I had a difficult time getting this to fit into the NZXT Manta case, but it's not worth knocking off a star in the rating system because it's a case design issue. Overall the white look of the cooler is awesome and it keeps the system cool, so I can safely recommend this cooler.
This case is totally awesome! The amount of room to work with inside is great, and it allows for great cable management.
