It's been three years since my first build and I've finally made my way back to the PC building arena with an opportunity to build with some cool new products. I've used most of my old hardware and created something totally new. The Spectre Project needed to be revived somehow and I have done just that. I have sort of a weakness for futuristic looking cases that like to escape the boundaries of what a normal case is supposed to look like and the the Conquer impressed me in that way. I am a fan of the open concept look and the glass on both the front and the back. It certainly has the 'wow' factor to it when I've showed it to other people.
I started the build this last Saturday at 1pm and finished it at 1am. The only problem I ran into was when I went to power it on for the first time and the operating system couldn't be located. I had to rearrange the SATA cables for the SSD and the Hard Drive and everything worked fine after that. My temperatures are staying low despite less airflow through the case. I did set up the fans on the CPU cooler so that airflow was moving downward instead of up. This way, air is moving though and down the case and works well with the GPU's since the motherboard has the slanted mount. As before, I couldn't publish anything without making sure the cable management was somewhat presentable. The glass back was motivation enough. If you have any questions, please ask and thanks for taking a look!
I'd quickly like to thank the people over at Cougar for making this build possible!
