Description

I mainly use this PC to do homework as I am currently in 9th grade. I use to have another gaming PC but it had an AMD Fx 4300 and a gtx 570...sad.... Anyways this PC is great I had no problems with it. The cable management was easy as the PSU and the case came with zip ties. I like how on the side you can only see the 24 pin connector. I also like how you can't see any wires below the gpu. This makes the 6pin connector look like its coming from a void because you can't see the wire. I am proud of myself for building this PC right before I die of Finals. :) I will probably upgrade my gpu down the line to a 1060 or 1070 because I think the 1080 and 1080 ti are to overkill. I also don't plan to overclock anything because I don't know s*** about how to do it XD. If anyone knows the software for the rgb stock wraith cooler please link it down in the comments. I was going to make it go through all the colors. I couldn't find the software HELP. :)

Part Reviews

CPU

Its a new cpu might as well.... HOLY CRAP ITS FAST... and a RGB STOCK FAN WTF... basically sums up my review XD

Motherboard

rgb header could have been closer to the cpu fan header, other then that bios was fairly easy to use.

Memory

no complains they are smooth and clean. nice looking

Case

Very modular.... good case for cable management.... nice window side panel. PSU bracket could have been better, I have one rubber pad instead of two as my PSU is smaller. bracket is very fidgety

Power Supply

enough juice for me. sleek design.

Yo, you have to get AI Suite III from the software download page for your motherboard off the Asus website. I have the Prime B350-Plus. It will provide a program for you to tweak your bios settings without hard restarting your computer. I hope this helps! beautiful build btw. AMD for life brother!

like off what i know this build is the most appealing to me. however your complaint about a bracket being fidgety in the case, is that bad? should i do a different case? and what is a rgb header and why does it matter if its too far from the other header

The header close together Are better for cable management. The fidgety bracket is not a problem and I worked around it.

Hey man I got money to spend LOL. Nah but I got all the parts before the r5 came out and I was saving the parts until summer

idk anything about building a pc, recently started looking into building one. im guessing the r5 is weaker than the r7 and the r7 is overkill for this pc? is ryzen better than intel. like i figured out ryzen is new. which is better r5 or i5?

I read r5 is better but depends on what you do. I chose r7 because the r5 didn't come out yet. Also the rgb cooler.

whats an rgb cooler

its the part of the computer that cools the processor. some people go with an air cooler, and some people go with a liquid cooler. the processor that he got comes with a cooler that lights up(RGB).

Asus boards have some automatic overclocking features in the bios, you could enable that and not have to worry about overclocking.

Pretty good build man.

Whats the difference between windows 10 unactivated and activated? Im a bit new in pc's :P. Also you should probably look forward to getting like an RX 580 8GB instead of a 1060 in my opinion or wait til Vega instead of buying the GTX 1070. Nice build though!

Basically activated has 99.9% of the features available. I can't go into the personalizing section. I will consider the rx 580 I haven looked into it yet. Thanks man :)

should i just get unactivated or spend 90$ on activated

  • 1 point

personally i didn't have enough money for the activated version. I have the unactivated one with almost all the same features. There is sometimes a watermark at the bottom right saying to activate windows.

nope just the additional case fans, i have 5 fans including the cpu cooler. There is a massive 200m fan in the front of the case for a good intake solution. The case came with the 200m fan.
