I've upgraded my Black Friday build with new components: 1.)New Desk 2.)Wire Management 3.)Added 2nd RX580 4.)Added 2nd Monitor: Asus XG35VQ 5.)Couple Spidey/Comic themed items
Primary use: Gaming Secondary: ...everything else I guess
I would say 90% of this build was purchased on Black Friday-Cyber Monday. I already had the monitor and the Samsung M.2 SSD. Due to my monitor being Freesync, I decided do go with an AMD focused build.
CPU - Ryzen 1700. Purchased for price and didn't feel 1700x/1800x were necessary since I don't intend to overclock higher than 3.7Ghz
Motherboard- AM4 Socket plus good deal and good reviews except WiFi.
Cooler/Fans- Went with Thermaltake Floe Riing AIO to match with Thermaltake Riing Fans.
Storage- Already had 950 Pro M.2 for OS. 500G SSD and 2 TB Firecuda for games and storage.
(Old Cases: Fractal Design Define C TG: I wanted something with tempered glass and i liked the 8 million filter locations. Only negative is the original GPU I purchased didn't fit with radiator + fans installed on front.) --->New case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG Fits both GPUs now
GPU - Tried to find the best deal on a RX580. Ended up purchasing a Sapphire 8G Nitro+ Limited Edition, but Newegg sent me the non LE version with $50 and an option to return it since the LE wasn't available. At this point I also purchased the ROG Top RX580 but i didn't fit with the AIO installed. ---->Both installed now
All in all, my first build ever went pretty smooth. Thermaltake software is pretty trash. Fans and AIO are pretty sexy with the Aorus MB. Currently overclocked at 3.5GHz. Don't see the need for much more. Purchased new case, full modular power supply, and sexy cables. Completed Crossfire setup. I should be good for awhile.
