Description
LAST EDIT: 29TH OCTOBER 2017
Hello guys.
I finally made my move from the Node 304 to the Nano S, with a few changes. Overall it took about 2 hours included a bit time to work with the cable management. In the last two pictures there is added the CableMod WideBeam Magnetic RGB LED Kit (2x30cm) and the Cablemod cable comb kit.
HUGE thanks to Wolf88's Nano S build. I got lots of inspiration from his build - check him out! https://pcpartpicker.com/b/TNXH99

Part Reviews
CPU
Still doing great though it's only a 4th gen Intel CPU. Really no reason for me to upgrade to a newer platform, since it's performing fine for my usage. I managed to overclock it to 4.2 GHz @ 1.105v (manual), running around 30-35c idle and ~70c at full load.
CPU Cooler
Probably one of the best air coolers for this case. It fits perfectly and is really quiet in general. I changed the ugly brown NF-F12 fan to the NF-F12 industrialPPC-2000 PWM with NA-SAVP1 White Vibration Pads. Looks much better in my opinion.
Motherboard
One of the best Z97 ITX motherboards with a solid WiFi connection. The design is decent as well, compared to other older boards. I play games using the WiFi without any ping/connection problems - in general just a really sweet board.
Memory
Not the prettiest ram, but still doing a great job. Pretty decent ram for the price, not much to say here.
Storage
A bit expensive, but a bit faster than my other 2.5" Sata SSDs. Would not recommend this SSD right now, since the Samsung EVO 960 M2 is probably more performance for the money.
Storage
My third Samsung EVO 2.5" SSD - really solid and probably the most popular on the market atm.
Video Card
Would recommend any blowerstyle card for smaller cases. The cooler solution is not that bad and the noise level in the newer Nvidia cards are fairly acceptable. In the Nano S I would personally say both custom cards and blowerstyle cards will do fine.
Case
2nd time I build in this case. Minimalistic and a god damn handsome case. Great possibilities for cable management, fairly amount of hdd/ssd support and a great price. Only minus is that the included fans are not PWM, which I think is a shame. Would still recommend this anyways. I added a Cablemod RGB LED Strips (2x30cm), which fits fine in this case.
Power Supply
Very silent and still fits smaller cases perfectly fine. I picked up some white Cablemod cables + cable combs to improve the look. Only minus about this PSU is that the provided cables are not sleeved.
