After years of simply adding in a video card to an off-the-shelf PCs this is my first complete build for gaming in 2016.

I5-6600K - This quad-core CPU is the de-facto gaming processor in 2016 if you're looking to play games, but not necessarily do any type of editing or video production(6700K would be better than). I've got a mild overclock of 4.4 GHz so I don't have to do extensive testing or go overboard on the CPU cooler... (Pic with UEFI shows first boot after BIOS update before OC)

Phanteks CPU Cooler - This was an aesthetics choice to match the case, I could have gone with cheaper one, like a 212EVO, since I'm just doing a mild overclock. It is in vertical position to push air out the 200mm fan just above it. White version to reflect the LEDs in the case...

ASUS Z170-A - This white motherboard from ASUS will do fine to overclock my CPU, house all the hardware including M.2 for the the Operating system. With upgrade potential to SLI in the future.

Corsair White LPX 3000Mhz - This fast ram just came out this year, it's hard finding white DDR4 RAM...

Sandisk X400 256GB M.2 - This M.2 has a nice darker color to not stand out (unlike those with a green PCB). It's not NVME, but it's fast enough and the pricing was right. It'll hold Windows 10 and any ancillary data such is internet files, etc.

Sandisk X400 1TB 2.5" - This is my primary games drive. My previous PC had a slow HDD, but in nowadays there's no reason to wait for load times like a HDD and it's much quieter. I've had good luck with Sandisk drives in the past.

Asus Strix GTX 1070 OC 8GB - This was the toughest choice for me. After watching hours of youtube videos of reviews and benchmarks from anyone who would post one. I went with this one since it's arguably the fastest 1070 out there, and I can SLI it later. I am actually using the two PWM fan hubs to run the two Phanteks 140mm XP fans at the front of the case.

Phanteks Enthoo Luxe - I wanted LED's on my case that I can change the color of. After Hardware Canucks gave such rave reviews of some of their cases. I splurged for this one to hold all the hardware.

EVGA 750W G2 - What can I say, with JonnyGuru's review of this being one of the best PSU's out there. I knew I wanted this one. Black cables, fully modular. With enough power to run a second card in the future.

Phanteks PH-F140XP - I bought two of these to put in the front of the case to replace the 200mm fan that comes with it. The 200mm fan is now at the top-rear of the case for exhaust, with the original 140mm fan that was top rear, now is in the bottom front. So I have three 140mm fans intake, and one 140mm/one 200m exhaust.

Acer G257HU 1440p - A great, cheap, 1440p so I can fully utilitize the GTX 1070.

Phanteks 2m LED Strip - To make the inside case color match the outside. It's long enough to run it around the top of the case, down the right side(in front of drive bays), down the bottom, and back up the rear and stops at the rear exhaust fan.

Thanks! I spent the last 9 months saving up and creating/editing the list through pcpartpicker, adding and removing things after I see reviews and parts are released.

Your parts list shows a 512GB X400 and not a 1T, just so you know. Looks fantastic otherwise!

Corrected! Thanks, that was a last minute change when purchasing parts. I did end up getting the 1TB version for the 2.5" SSD
