Description

Fresh September 2015 build.

Basically, only the core system inside the case was changed with and added 240 GB SSD for games. All the rest of my stuff remained the same. To update my case in a way, I changed the front USB 2.0 I/O module on my Raven 2 case to a USB 3.0 with the G11303260 module. I had to adapt to the new UEFI bios and also Windows 8.1.

Stuck with AMD like my previous builds. Everything is fast, smooth and silent.

Very satisfied overall!

Part Reviews

CPU

I don't intend to overclock so getting this model was a no brainer.

CPU Cooler

Cheap and silent. Cooler is decent but it got in the way of my ram because the orientation of my case.

Motherboard

Can't beat the price if you're like me and don't need an overclocking board.

Memory

16GB may sound over the top but I call this one future proofing. Timings must be set manually.

Storage

As fast as the other one and was the same price as my year old 120GB

Storage

Basic data storage. I don't really need that much anyway because I don't have terabytes of adult movies on my pc :P

Video Card

Needed something better without going in the 500$ range. Re-branded Tonga with GCN 1.2 does a fantastic job for the games I play.

Case

I wish I could put more than 5 stars for this case. This IS the best period. 3 180's sucking air from the bottom and blowing all the heat on top is cooling heaven.

Power Supply

My model is actually the PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750W Crossfire Edition. It's pretty old (2007) but it still kicks ***.

Operating System

Still have to get use to this one.

Mouse

10 years and still going strong. Many millions of clicking still waiting!

Not bad, I always love builds using MSi gear. And you're mouse is ten years old? Ha, I have a keyboard and mouse made by Genius that's lasted since 2002

Had several problems using Asus boards. Bad luck I guess. MSI never failed me.
