Description

This is an update on my first build Infamous

Original parts were bought from fry's Electronics

New parts were bought from Amazon or Newegg

I use this PC for Gaming, Music production, Web surfing, and Movie watching

Works pretty well!

It was terrifying to move the motherboard XD

Original case was terrible, power button broke, panel was bent, poop cable management, couldn't dust out everything, no window to see its inner beauty.

How's that air 540 working out for you

Airflow in it is awesome, it is a little louder than my last case because of the mesh. But not incredibly painfully loud.

I still have almost no idea what you are supposed to do with Corsair Link. Can you please explain it to me?

Monitor stuff. Control stuff, like fans and what not.

Just a software.

Corsair link basically controls your corsair products, like your CPU Pump and your power supply. It changes the color of your pump logo btw. It also monitors your system. I hate the UI so I never use it.

For fans: I personally love corsair, they look nice, and you can't go wrong with corsair. If you plan on using your fan(s) for airflow through your case, go with the AF120 or AF140. If you are planing to use your fans to cool your radiator on your water cooling loop. I'd go with SP120 or SP140.

For your video card: I have never heard of the GTX 1000, but as of what's available now, I would recommend a 980Ti in that price range, or Dual 970s if you want to go SLI

The gtx 1000 series is the supposed name for the next GPU from nvidia. The 1000 series ( code name Pascal ) will use the HBMA2 chipset
