Build

Zero-Two (First build!)

by Coin3

Description

Zero-Two is my slightly overkill beast of a machine for gaming (currently 1080p 60hz) and various other tasks (CAD, video editing). I have not done any overclocking, as she would probably eat my electricity bill alive if I gave her any more power. (In all seriousness, I just haven't tried yet. lol)

I do have a couple notes regarding the build:

Asrock Z390 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ac: My first board was DOA. A week after going through the RMA process at Newegg, I got a replacement that runs fine. Symptoms included no-post, constantly restarting itself every 10-40 seconds, and magic smoke coming from the board at some point.

NZXT H200: This case is very well made, and I had no major problems building in it. Do try to use an SFX power supply if you can, both to help with cable management, and to allow for more air to flow to the graphics card from below.

As for thermals and noise, I am very satisfied. I adjusted the fan curves for the case and graphics card fans to be around 35% at idle, which I find is a nice compromise between silence and low temps. The H100i Pro is set to the balanced preset.

My desk setup involves an HDMI switch and USB switch so that I can switch between my devices on both the monitor and speaker system. I use ShareMouse to control Zero-Two with my laptop's keyboard and mouse.

Wow I have only thought about putting Bakugan in my case and figures but I never thought about putting anime figures on them. I like that a lot, it really shows the personality of a build. I find it really hard to believe this is your first build since it looks incredibly refined.

Welcome to the world of PC gaming, you can now bask in beautiful graphics well earned for those who built their computers. Try playing Planetside 2, everyone is on the same level.

I also put your build in my list of favorite builds, I never would of thought a first build could look so professional yet unique at the same time. +1

Hey thanks, that means a lot! The Zero-Two theme was kind of a last minute decision. I really wanted the figure but needed a place to put it, and then I figured I could finish it up with some stickers. haha

i am wondering if you can use ll120 3 pack with lighting node pro, will you be able to control the rgb in a nzxt case?

You'd be able to control it as it runs off of USB and the Corsair software. You could run NZXT fans in a Corsair case if you wanted to.
