Description

Built this monster of a computer in November. Nothing slows it down!

Update

I didn't realize cable management was a religion with most people. I didn't build this computer to be aesthetically appealing but to be very functional and handle the video editing demands I run on it. If staring at beautiful PC builds is your thing, this one isn't it. The airflow is sufficient enough to keep all components running optimally. This is a workstation and not a PC model runway show build.

The case was chosen for two reasons; one being dimension limitations and the need for six hot-swap HD bays (the two Kingwin SSHD Hard Drive Enclosures), resulting in six SATA cables and power to said drives needing to be routed.

The power supply was installed the way it to make use of the power supply air filter that came with the case.

I did not beautify the cables (ketchup and mustard) but if those complaining wish to donate either the pretty cables or money; I will make those changes forthwith.

all this money and you couldnt invest 5 minutes into some simple cable management.

First thing I thought about. Great components.

or he could buy another case with seperate psu compartment.

Well considering it looks like it does not have an open side panel I wouldn't consider it that big of an issue.

Whats the point in having such an amazing build if the cable management sucks in it

Cable management doesn't have or will ever have processing power. If somehow making cables pretty added GPU power or freed up memory, then I would put more time and money into pretty cables.

I know right, and why is the RGB off on one of the modules.

They flicker on and off by default. They are terrible. The software is even worse.

a powerful pc, that isn't very aesthetically pleasing :(

I love this. Especially the snake's nest of cables!

Truly horrifying and powerful stuff

I'm inspired

don't get me wrong I also hate this in a lot of ways and I want to offer constructive criticism but where would I even start? The upside down RGB PSU? The dual 60hz monitors? The lack of M.2 NVMe? The ancient case? ...the cable management? lol

no, it's better to just appreciate this for what it is.

DANG +1 Minus .5 or cable management

1) Welcome to Page 22 of "Highest Price Build" (at time of posting) 2) You might be right that nothing could stop that beast...except for, I dont know, potential malware, lack of air intake due to poor cable management, etc. 3) Enjoy gaming/streaming/whatever you're doing.

we need some cable management

22TB of storage, wow.

Top specs for sure, thinking this is a workstation vs gaming pc :D

Cable management? Non issue. Build is not even half complete and no photo with cooler attached.

Damn, you spent your money wildly. You could've shown some respect to the cables though. I like performance but I also like aesthetics as well. But, I would change the case, psu, and cpu cooler. I can't deal with thermaltake products.

I'm guessing from the pics this is an ongoing build and will be one hell of a RIG but would love to see a finished product after some cable management.

I have to agree with the others here. This has the possibility of being a great build, but seems to have been thrown together without a lot of thought. The cable management is zero, and if you paid that much for some of those items I hope they came with vaseline.

Not to be negative but this build left me speechless. Awesome components but disappointing aesthetics and cable management. This build deserves a new case $200+. I just hope you are just trolling people.

Only thing slowly it down is memory bandwidth and that cable management

A $7000 build but the cable management and case suck rest of the parts look good. Try to get some cablemod extensions.

I would say it's awesome, but the cable management literally looks like you just poured spaghetti into the case.

F for ketchup and mustard cables. Doesn't mean I'm not jealous of how much money you spent on this.

The shopping experience must have been awesome:

Sales: Good morning! you: Good morning, can you help me with a build I am doing? sales: yes of course, what did you have in mind? you: pulls out Santa's wish list. sales: <eyes pop out of his head>

Bunch of OCD captives here. Cable management is wildly overrated. Put the opaque side on the case and be happy.

I see someone built a computer after watching "The Verge's Build Guide". Kidding aside, great parts, but do invest time in cable management as it will also improve your airflow if everything is neatly out of the way.

Ladies and gentlemen, the defining build for the saying "Money cant buy brains". All that cash and you have got ketchup and mustard spewing everywhere, and dont you dare tell me its because you dont care about aesthetics, cuz you have a freaking rgb power supply.
