This is my second build ever, my first one was back in 2008-2009. I had planned for years about what I would do for my next gaming pc and it never came to fruition until recently. I am pretty proud of it so far but it was not without it's obstacles.
CPU, i7 7700k. What is there to say? It works. It works well. I plan to delid at some point because well why not?
This thing is purely gorgeous. The colors, the vibrancy, the infinite ring effect. Just get it. The CAM software is pretty phenomenal too.
The motherboard has been great so far. Works as advertised. One issue I did have was related to the BIOS and how to flash to the latest one. That's really more of a GIGABYTE issue and how their software works (or doesn't work). Everything else about the motherboard works and it looks great with the rgb LEDs.
One word: Beautiful.
Expensive but boy is it fast. OS is installed and boot up is near instant.
case is stunning. Picture do not do it justice. It was relatively easy to work with once I got the hang of what exactly I was doing, remember, it has been nearly 10 years since building a pc. Great cable management options. My one gripe would that I feel like this chassis is much more for watercooled pcs rather than air cooled ones and because of that, when I bought the NZXT kraken x62, I had difficulty putting the radiator on the front. Ultimately, I placed it on the top. As much as I wanted to do a push/pull configuration, having to drill additional holes just to get the rad to fit was a bit of an inconvenience. I may revisit in the future and do it.
Great! The manual was kind of minimal and that was a bit of a disappointment. I also wish that it came with straight connectors for the SATA cables in addition to the 90° ones. Overall, satisfied.
Beautiful Ultrawide Monitor. I bought this because I found a really good deal on it. Unfortunately its not 4k/1440p but it's still gorgeous. 144hz. I do wish it was gsync rather than freesynce but the upcharge for the g-sync equivalent was too much. I'm still debating on whether or not I should eventually upgrade to a g-sync monitor or just buy a vega gpu when it's released just to take advantage of freesync.
