From the start this computer was meant for VR setup. As you can see, I organized my space so that there's no table in a way. Used some plumbing pipes to hook up a monitor, now it swivels around the chair in any direction. Till the last moment I though about monitor - whether I gonna need a good one. And went with some generic 19 incher, that I got from friend. If I gonna need something else, I can always by one. To be honest, it's been 4 month and I'm ok with what I have. VR is good enough, even with regular PC apps and games in desktop mode. GTX 1070 gets the job done, no lag, no issues whatsoever in any VR game that I have. Main reason I went with Asus - it had 2 HDMI ports and I read couple guys had issues with multiple monitor setup with VR hookup. Choose a case with a water cooling mount at the top, but with a closed and flat top cover, so I can use it's surface as pad for my mouse - just the right height for my chair. Everything else is pretty standard.
