Description

Alright, so this machine is for gaming and productivity, with a high budget to add powerful components that will outperform or match a overclocked low end system.

Two days after computer has been built, I have played AAA modern titles with maximum settings with great results and low temps. So far so good.

GPU: That being said, a 1080 Ti card was also chosen since GPU market is inflated past any choice. The AORUS Extreme edition is extremely heavy, and so instead watching it droop and create ugly lines inside my case (not to mention stressing out the PCI slot), I took some left over Styrofoam from the case and created a shape that could prop the GPU up without impacting air flow.

CPU AND MOBO: Ryzen 7 platform with Asus Pro x370 board was chosen to ensure SLI support in the future (will have to replace the GPU since AORUS version is a 3 slot GPU), but also for OC support in the future.

RAM AND COOLING: G.Skill Trident Z RGB ram is the best looking RGB ram out in the market in my opinion, it plays really well with ASUS Aura lighting set up and have seamless transitions for RGB effects Deepcool Captain 240 EX was so easy to install and came with a AM4 compatable bracket. Has keep CPU temps below 50 C.

CASE AND MONITOR NXZT S340 Elite White has a sharp look, has wonderful and easy to remove tempered glass window, and has perfect space inside wit hcutouts for cable management. Included are removable dust covers and a magnetic puck for hanging peripherals. This adds value to a already value oriented case! 10/10 would puck again. ACER Predator monitor is my first gaming monitor, and 27" is more than I know what to do with. Games are running best at 100 Hz with Gsync and the picture is flawless.

Absolutely...! Cable mods, and some other cosmetic changes are in the works and this will be updated accordingly.

Does your pc ever turn off unexpectedly? I have a very similar build, different sad, ram, water cooler and case. The 650W may not be enough or maybe my wall sucks. Let me know. Nice build.

Actually, no... I've been lucky with the PSU I have currently. The one I own currently was a suggestion from someone on Reddit and I've been really happy it. However, 650 W is right on the cusp of power requirements, and if I was to add anything more to the case (RGB lighting, fans, etc.), I would defintely buy a larger Wattage PSU.

Do you OC your system?

Rarely. I have not needed to even on GTA 5 or PUBG. If I do though it handles fine. In reality my build will not surpass 400 W

Hi,

I've had no problems with the pc turning off! Interesting...I wish I knew more about PSU's to give you some advice, but I'm new to this... !
